Model Engineering College bagged  all the first  ranks in  Cochin University B.Tech Degree Examination Result 2010 for the Courses offered by the College.

Sarath Lakshman and Syamlal S of C6B and C8B won the first runners up for the InCTF national level hacking challenge. They will be receiving cash prize of Rs. 30,000 and an internship at Versign.

160 teams all over the India participated in the event. Each team consisted of 5 members. The team r00tkit of Sarath Lakshman and Syamlal captured the hacking flag. 

InCTF is a contest to search for India's No1 hackers team.

 The final round was held on 29th May 2010. It was conducted through a Virtual Private Network (VPN) which connected the top 30 teams selected from the second round.

Teams had to attack each other's machines over the network and break into others machine. Points were  based on Offenisive, Defensive, Ethical categories
